Gite Accommodation in Brittany - The Byre

We completed the conversion of this former barn in 2006, adding modern bathroom & kitchen facilities but keeping original features such as the ceiling beams and lovely pointed stone walls. The living area has a pretty glass-fronted French wood-burning stove on a slate hearth, to keep you cosy if the evenings turn a little cooler... sofa and comfy armchairs, TV with video, DVD player and a selection of films, books and board games suitable for all the family. In the dining area is a huge antique carved oak Breton buffet (dresser) holding all the crockery, glasses & cooking apparatus you will need for your holiday & a dining table with seating for eight. Adjacent to this is the corner kitchen, with fridge, microwave, gas cooker with cooker hood, toaster and coffee machine. The family-sized bathroom with it's bath with shower over and the Scandinavian style double bedroom are also on the ground floor. Upstairs is the spacious "minstrel's gallery" mezzanine sleeping area with a low beamed ceiling which has a double bed and two single beds. Double French windows open out from the living area onto the large courtyard and sunny lawn with built in barbecue and picnic table. Undercover storage for boots, boats, bikes & buggies. Off-road parking is also available.

All bed linen and towels are supplied (not beach towels). The washing machine and ironing facilities are in the laundry, adjacent to the Byre (hopefully you won't be doing too much of either as you are on holiday to enjoy yourselves!).
