Welcome to Crampoisic

Dik, Jackie and family invite you to stay for a while and experience the relaxed pace of life, music, warmth and ambience of Brittany at Crampoisic, an L-shaped 19th century former dairy farm, built of the local schiste (slate) and granite, enclosing a sunny courtyard in the heart of rural Brittany. We are on hand to offer any help required to make your holiday a success, free-range eggs from our own ducks, geese & hens & home-grown vegetables in season are usually available.

Crampoisic is situated on a hillside near the Manoir de Crampoisic, overlooking a picturesque valley in the heart of a rural farming community, just five minutes from Lake Guerlédan, with its sandy beaches & watersports & 3 km from the town of St Mayeux, between Mur-de-Bretagne and Corlay. St Mayeux boasts its own menhirs (standing stones) as well as the parish church with its 16th century calvaire (cross) & bell tower, which were rescued from the Abbey at Bon Repos after the Revolution & moved stone by stone by the locals. There are local shops, post office and bar.

Pontivy, Rostrenen & Loudeac are only 25 minutes away & we are 40 minutes from the lively coastal city of St Brieuc. The beautiful mediaeval city of Vannes is less than an hour away. At an hour from the dramatic, craggy north coast & the long sandy beaches of the west coast and the cosmopolitan cities of Lorient and Brest, we are ideally situated for exploring both coast & countryside. Access from the airports of Dinard, Brest, Rennes & Nantes & ferry ports of Roscoff & St Malo (1hr 30min) is quick & easy.
